Dear friends, I bought an appartment in downtown "City of Health" Nijmegen. It is so great. Its pretty big with a huge balcony of more than 30 square meters.. I'll have 2 bedrooms and a living. With a nice separate kitchen. I will need to replace the kithcen because it needs a dishwasher and an update. But the guy before me did a nice reconstruction thoughout the house..so that will be all. Now, I will have even more space to buy more and more stuff..may not be such a good idea. In the meanwhile I still need to work. We do a lot of 3D reconstructions of the face for better surgery planning but also to use as a tool for the patients to learn about their condition and post-surgical appearance. Im also writing a grant which is hopefully finished very soon..just need a little more information.. Ill show some pics of my apparment when I get the key! Don't forget to visit me there!! Hi everybody, Im getting a little nervous about the defence of 45 min for my PhD..still need to go through some possible questions..instead there are too many nice things to do like visiting friends and family, checking my nephew, having diner with friends, going out, changing my website, chatting, making plans with my new professor about my future, now Im going to make a painting! And tomorrow Im meeting up with a banker to see if I can buy a house! Life is simply beautifull and there are too many things to do!! If anybody wants to join me to Stockholm, Sweden or Greece later this year..let me know!!

It's holiday! Merry Christmas everyone! Im going to prepare my book and speech for my PhD ceremony..in the meantime have to move all my stuff to the great east of Holland. Im practically in a dumpster house right now..but I still have internet connection. Things are going great..New job, new life basically and Im famous!!

San Antonio was fantastic..The meeting was great, a lot of things to see, hear and do..meeting people and getting lots of free pencils, CD's, etc..
I myself screwed in a distal radius volar plate..And my former publication has been cited during one of the lectures..yeehaa!!
During the evenings there were lots of restaurants, boat tours, walking the "river walk" (second attraction of the state of Texas) and the Alamo (The number one attraction of Texas)..watching the news about hurricane Rita..
Thanks to Dr Tomita, Dr Tanaka, Dr Taguchi and Dr Osamura..I will sent the sensored pictures to you privately!

Yesterday we went to "Monaco aan de Maas" in Rotterdam, where Albers and Doornbos (our 2 dutch F1 coureurs) gave a demonstration with their F1 cars on the Coolsingel in the middle of the city.. Fantastic sounds..

Thanksgiving Weekend in South Dakota Rocks..!
First 8 hours of Priarie..makes you wanna go home, but then entering the beautifull Badlands, where they found the remainings of the T-Rex (ofcourse it was too cold, so we stayed in the car).. we drove on to Wall, where they had the WallDrugStore and moving on to Mount Rushmore. This is the great place in the Black Hills where they carved the 4 presidents in the mountain.. Rapid city has a fantastic theatre..so we went there twice at night (the night life is not too great) On Saturday we took the car to the next State of Wyoming, where there is the Devils Rock, which is the first National Monument of the United States.. I even saw priarie dogs (lookalikes of the marmots) in the wild who build a bunker of almost a football field in size. On the way back to Rapid City, we past DeadWood, a village where Wild Bill (a famous CowBoy) was killed in the cafe, where we got our BisonBurger.. The story was that Wild Bill was a poker addict who always faced the door while in the cafe..but not on the day of his assassination... I also gammbled a little on a Poker machine..but no luck for me..On Sunday we drove to the South to Hot Springs where we visit the Worlds biggest Mammoth Site, where they found the remaining of 53 mammoths (3 Hairy and 50 Columbian Mammoths) . The Hairy mammoths are smaller and lived later in this areaadapted to the colder period.. The misfortune of these male mammoths was that they got trapped in this Sinkhole which originated because of a collapsing cave deep in the groud and making it a sinkhole because of the hotsprings..
The way back was through some Indian Reservations, but most of it was bad roads and lots of priarie and Indians living in campers and collecting old damaged cars.. So we continued on the I-90 East to Rochester Big City, MN..

Ja Man, Jamaica was fantastic..
Im not that tanned..I rubbed myself into 50Sf so that blocked everything I think..but Jamaica was a great experience, I snorkeled in the reef (this is so beautifull, I dived for a big shell, but it was alive..so I had to throw it back in the reef, climbed the Dun's river waterfall, went to the BobMarley museum in Kingston, went to beautifull beaches, had fish BBQ on the beach and I eat goat jerk (one of the Jamaican jerks), patties, had the most sweet pineapple, guinepp (like lychee but different), mangos, and green coconuts…and cocktails...
The bartender Collin from the hotel made a new cocktail for me and I named it the Pirate Pink (Marc, Erwin when your visiting Ill make you some, I have the Jamaican Appleton Rum and the recipe)And we listened to a lot of reggae..
Ve and I are known for our bad slotmachine gambling for 5 dollars, almost got in a fight with one of the addicted customers, she was playing on 3 machines at once, how do we know? and Ve was called to have a big butt and this other woman was playing on the one dollar machines (I'm not placing people in boxes here).
Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee is good coffee, we went to a small farm at 4000 feet in the Blue Mountains. This is also the place where you can find the Maroons (black people who escaped from the slavery). The fruittrees are everywhere and I also saw the coffee plants..
We almost flew to Cuba for $300. but Jamaica was too beautifull to leave..
